Jay spent 22 years working for some of the leading companies in financial services. After excelling at Edward Jones and Smith Barney, he became a senior vice president for The Danford Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in Portland, Maine, before heading west to form the Tobias Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in Bend, Oregon.
Jay honed his financial management skills with those large firms, but he also realized that he could offer far better service, and develop closer relationships, at a small, independent company. That’s why he formed the Katahdin Financial Group in 2017.
When not in the office, Jay spends more time outdoors than in the house—which is why the family has chosen to live in two of the most beautiful areas of the country. Jay loves backcountry hiking, skiing, and traveling with his wife, Julie, and their three boys. He also believes strongly in giving back to the community and has served on several nonprofit boards and coached sports at the youth through high school levels for over 25 years.
